Monk: The biggest surprise for me season 8 was the delightful, surprising, and genuinely satisfying way that the series ended. I had thought I would be terribly sad to see the end -- and for a moment there, I thought I was going to be devastated! But now I just smile to think of these beloved characters going on with the next phase of their lives.

I don't think I can say it better than what others have said. Monk is simply one of the best television shows on. One of the reasons that I love his character is that loving devotion to his wife.

I have been a fan of this show since it first aired on USA. Monk is one of the best written shows to come on TV in years and the acting is tremendous!

Absolutely fantastic finale The writers and producers of this show are exceptional. I wish they'd reconsider and give us another few seasons.
